Celebrating the Copywriter of the Year Finalists
Copywriter of the Year Finalists 2025
From scroll-stopping social posts to long-form thought leadership, this year’s finalists have shown how powerful writing can cut through digital noise and move audiences to act. Meet the copywriters whose clarity, creativity, and measurable results set the gold standard for 2025.
Abi Sea - Abi Sea
About:
With 30 years in comms, Abi Sea was always the one colleagues said, “Get Abi to write it.” A 2015 freelance gig turned that knack into a career: thousands of words for hundreds of clients, from launch pages to ghost-written thought leadership. Abi lives in Fife with two kids, two cats, and a husband, co-runs the Scottish event Adventures in Marketing, and steers the community project The Big Green Market.
Reason for Shortlisting:
After realising clients were paying for copy they couldn’t use effectively, Abi walked away from lucrative one-off jobs to build a service that maps the whole customer journey, aligns every asset, and gives women the confidence to market without fakery. Abi specifically champions women aged 40+ who are sometimes overlooked in the online space. By openly discussing her ADHD diagnosis and menopause journey, she is showing other women they deserve to be visible and successful without hiding who they are.
Vikkie Richmond - Red and White Media Limited
About:
Vikkie is the founder of Red and White Media, a copy- and content-writing studio she launched in 2024 to help small and mid-sized UK businesses speak up about their achievements. Armed with a Business Management & Marketing degree and social media certification, she crafts SEO-optimised web copy, blogs, case studies, and award entries while managing brand voices across social channels.
Reason for Shortlisting:
Vikkie stands out for championing the micro- and small-business owners who can’t afford (or stomach) big agency hype. Drawing on her own rabbit-in-the-headlights start-up memories, she writes copy that lets founders be visible without feeling fake – network pitches, award entries, SEO pages, and social posts that speak in their own voice. By turning overlooked businesses into confidently heard brands, she embodies the spirit of this award.
Suzanne Frear - Suzanne Frear Creative Copywriting
About:
Suzanne turns tangled brain-dumps into copy that is bold, jargon-free, and grabs attention. From VIP entrepreneurs to change-making nonprofits around the globe, clients rely on her knack for messaging that truly connects. A former expat in Germany and the US, Suzanne now calls Warwickshire home, pens a regular magazine column, guest stars on podcasts, delivers group training, and is drafting her first novel.
Reason for Shortlisting:
Suzanne strives to be the very best by making brilliant copywriting accessible at every budget: this year she added new, lower-cost services and products so clients who can’t outsource an entire project still get jargon-free words. She goes above and beyond in every project, cheerleading long after contracts end, and sharing knowledge candidly. Active in multiple memberships, she created free Warwickshire copywriters meet-ups and local #HikeSquad walks to give peers a supportive network. For her active role in championing community while delivering standout copy, Suzanne was shortlisted for this award.
The Digital Women Awards are proud to celebrate these extraordinary individuals.
