Celebrating the Web Developer of the Year Finalists
Website Developer of the Year Finalists 2025
The Digital Women Awards are excited to unveil the finalists for Web Developer of the Year. These tech-savvy innovators have combined rock-solid code with user-centred thinking to build fast, secure, and accessible sites that power real business growth. Join us in celebrating these exceptional developers.
Patricia Greene - The Web Crew
About:
Patricia co-founded her business with her husband in 2000, shifting from a graphic design studio to a WordPress-focused web development and design firm in 2009. Since then, she has built and managed hundreds of sites for clients in professional services, while also designing public sector programmes such as a rural-tourism digitisation scheme and an e-commerce initiative for 40 craft businesses, all alongside her day-to-day roles in marketing, client relations, project coordination and content management.
Reason for Shortlisting:
For 25 years, Patricia has run an intentionally small and personal studio that uses website design as the tool, but connection, support and growth as its real purpose. She offers tailored website design, hosting, maintenance, and digital support services, helping businesses grow their visibility, sustainability, and operations – often resulting in increased staffing, investment in digital tools, and long-term stability. Away from paid work she still finds time to give back – providing digital support to a local women’s business network as well as sponsoring a maths initiative.
Morena Fiore - Morena Fiore Digital
About:
Morena is a freelance web developer and SEO practitioner who blends a decade of start-up and agency experience with hands-on e-commerce insight from running her own jewellery brand. She formally set up her studio in 2020 and now builds websites that marry solid UX with on-page and technical SEO. Her client list is eclectic but the goal is always the same: turn traffic into trusted leads.
Reason for Shortlisting:
Morena trains even the most tech-averse small business owners to run their own sites, and isn’t afraid to push for tough changes – like swapping pretty, designer-led page names for keyword-rich structures that actually rank. Her favourite wins are human: the female client who once couldn’t copy-and-paste a URL now runs her own booking offers and tweaks promos solo, thanks to Morena’s coaching. That blend of technical rigour and genuine empowerment is why she’s on this year’s list.
Tracey Vince - Zerenity Creates
About:
Tracey is a web developer with 8+ years’ experience building sites for businesses of every size. In 2024 she launched Zerenity Creates, a studio that codes responsive websites entirely from scratch. She is now freelancing full-time after serving as Digital Lead at a creative agency.
Reason for Shortlisting:
Tracey made the shortlist because, within months of launching Zerenity Creates, she’s already delivered two custom-built sites that are driving real money for their owners – a start-up swim school booking new students and a local fitness trainer whose site now pulls in daily class and PT enquiries. Tracey’s core focus is bespoke web builds, but she also delivers HTML email campaigns, graphic design projects and video editing support for clients who want everything under one roof.
Angela Bamford - AB Web Agency
About:
After 25 years as a globe-trotting retail buyer, Angela decided she wanted a career that balanced family and purpose. Fascinated by why people buy and what makes a brand irresistible, she retrained in web design and, in 2017, launched her own agency built on a customer-first ethos. Since then she has grown a team, refined processes and invested heavily in training so every site they build is functional, beautiful and – above all – conversion-focused.
Reason for Shortlisting:
Since launching AB Web Agency in 2017, Angela and her team have built over 300 high-performing websites to help SMEs, independent retailers and creative entrepreneurs grow and thrive online. What sets her apart is that she is not just a web designer but a former retail buyer with experience understanding why people buy, and that deep knowledge of sales psychology goes into every site, because a beautiful website is meaningless if it doesn’t convert. She leads with a customer-first approach, keeps investing in UX, accessibility and SEO, and fixes the mess for clients who arrive burned by poor communication or underwhelming results.
The Digital Women Awards are proud to celebrate these extraordinary individuals.
